The figurative paintings strive to depict through the art of lines and colours the critical state of the modern human mind that finds itself torn between the innocent feelings that sustain him on the one hand, and the mechanisation which compels him on the other. The entire work deals with this eternal trap into which man has led himself and is a sincere effort to remind him once again of his essential human nature which, if overlooked, would lead to nothing but a chaotic society. more..The problems of a modern mind are manifold. They can hardly be analysed by a simple cause & effect relationship and this complexity is consequently reflected in the paintings. The situation has to be studied in relation to the socio-political, psychological and philosophical parameters affecting the individual mind, influenced by the personal interests of the fronts of authorities, a failure to comprehend itself, and the cost of adaptation.
Man adapts himself to the requirements of a mechanised world where there is hardly any place for human feelings. He finds different ways of proving superiority over his human fellowmen of any cost. In the process he forgets how basically similar he is to them. Very often he does things, which he might not really like to do; what generates his action is not conscience but instruction or external demand. Such a striving often leads to vices like ruthlessness, self-centredness, total disregard of another, and so on. hide.. |
