 Sarah KinanFrom an early age her passion has been to paint with an energy and excitement that radiates through her Paintings, Sarah is an artist who is taking the world by storm, she has travelled around the world and was influenced by different cultures which reflects in her work, She creates magical works of art that deal with the human spirit. Working in oil & acrylics Sarah has been able to capture the essence of her subjects. From the love of a mother and her child to the relationships within a family. Her paintings are filled with love and sensitivity. Each painting brings different mood, colors and emotions. Painting is not a business for Sara, she just wants to fulfil her need to paint everyday and she hopes more and more people can enjoy her paintings. Currently her art is being collected all over the world.

ARTIST WOODLAND RETREAT RESIDENCY

 Artists' residencies, self-directed/project oriented, will be offered from May through November 2009, with possible off-season sessions in April and December. Most sessions are four weeks in duration. Residencies will be offered to visual (including digital) artists, music composers, environmental artists, landscape and garden designers, creative writers and architects. Work samples will be evaluated through a competitive, juried process. There is a $25 application processing fee required and artists are responsible for their own transportation to and from the area. They also provide for their own food and work materials. I-Park is a 450-acre natural woodland retreat in rural East Haddam, Connecticut. International applicants welcome. To defray the cost of travel, three $1,000 grants will be offered in 2009 to international artists. Music deadline is January 17, 2009.
