Renee Dumont a native of Blackstone Massachusetts is an emerging contemporary realist oil painter. In her expansive and prolific artistic career, Dumont has sought to connect her art to what is lasting and timeless.In fact, her extensive background in anatomy, historical painting techniques, and her unique and powerful visual vocabulary places her among some of the most powerful contemporary realist artists in Western art.
Dumont has an extensive educational background, of both private and public practices. She attended the Community College of RI, and earned a degree in Fine Art. She has continued her study of light, color and anatomy at the Worcester Museum of Art in Massachusetts. Dumont has received several foundation grants, and was bestowed with the People?s Choice Award in several juried exhibits. Dumont?s work is included in many private and public collections. Dumont illustrations have appeared as the cover of She Shines Magazine and the Illuminations Book of spirituality.
