Seema is currently best known for her long and vibrant career as a model and actor. She has featured in over 100 advertising campaigns, including brands such as Close Up toothpaste, Charmis cold cream, Clinic shampoo, Kisaan Annapurna Atta and Crocin. She has also acted in TV serials such as Shyam Benegal�s �Discovery of India� and �The Sword of Tipu Sultan�.

But art has always been Seema�s foremost passion and she has been painting for as long as she can remember. So far, she has sold her work through architects and private collectors. This is her first solo exhibition.

Seema is exhilarated by the magic involved in the process of giving birth to art. She believes that a painting is but a truthful expression of the artist�s personality and state of mind. When asked why she paints, she replies candidly and with a sense of astonishment, �How could I not?� This reflects her overriding love for the subject and highlights why art has always played a central role in her life.
